Are you familiar with the sport of skimboarding? Well, it’s worth checking it out.

A skimboard is smaller than a surfboard and does not have any fins. It’s used to ‘skim’ (of course) across the surface of the water to meet a breaking wave with a multitude of flips, spins and tricks.

Skimboarding originated with Laguna Beach lifeguards wanting to surf shallow shore breaks, so it’s fitting that a viral stunt took place on the same site.

Austin Keen posted this incredible flip, diving catch and land on his Instagram account and the clip has proved hugely popular across social media.

A classic case of walk straight off and don’t try it again!

Seriously cool.
