When Phil Neville says something, you have to sit up and listen.

The former Manchester United and England defender caused a stir on Match of the Day by stating that just one Premier League player would get in Real Madrid’s team.

“At the moment I’m actually turning off because I’m bored watching,” Neville said in his rant about the current standard of football in the Premier League.

“I looked at the Real Madrid team and I thought, ‘how many Premier League players can actually get in the Real Madrid team?’ I thought maybe one – ‘David De Gea could get in as a goalkeeper’ – but that’s it.

“I’ve been disappointed for a few weeks now. I saw Real Madrid play to a level that I don’t think anyone in the Premier League can get anywhere near.”

Strong words from Neville, but is he right?

We had a live Facebook show debating that very question! Watch it back and see if you agree…
