N’Golo Kante was being talked about as Player Of The Year material ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United.

And, during the match, he might just have sealed the award.

The Frenchman, who won the Premier League title with Leicester last season and is on course to retain it, scored a superb long-range strike to give Antonio Conte’s men the lead.

Many of his detractors argue that he’s not brilliant going forward, he’s simply a superb midfielder.

But this goal, his second of the season against United, seemed to destroy that theory.
