Well, Brendan Rodgers’s reign at Celtic certainly could have started a lot better.
The Scottish giants somehow contrived to lose 1-0 to the Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar – a team featuring police officers, a labourer, a civil servant and a shipping agent – in Champions League qualifying.
Rodgers, astonishingly, said there was “no embarrassment” after the shock defeat, but that was not reflected in the reaction on social media to the humbling…
Semi-professional Lincoln Red Imps have beaten Celtic 1-0 tonight. To be fair, they are the best team in Gibraltar.

A truly awful night for Celtic but at least they can turn it around next week. Many players who should be heading for exit door. Time is up.
