Pape Souare may have only been playing at Selhurst Park for less than two months but he certainly showed his commitment to the Crystal Palace cause with this courageous piece of improvisation.

The Senegalese defender joined Palace in January and made his second start in the Eagles’ Premier League clash against Stoke on Saturday.

Palace boss Alan Pardew will certainly have been impressed by Souare’s bravery in the first half – when he dived on the floor to keep the ball in play and find a nearby team-mate, all at the same time as he was being hounded by Stoke forward Mame Diouf.

Impressive stuff, Pape!
