Mohamed Salah topped off an incredible 2017 by being crowned the African Player of the Year on Thursday evening.

The Egyptian pipped his Liverpool team-mate, Sadio Mane to first place, with Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finishing in third.

Despite winning the award for the African Player of the Year, Salah is still aiming higher – claiming he wanted to become the greatest Egyptian footballer of all-time.
