Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe is apparently not merely after a personal assistant, but someone to take his ‘brand’ to the next level, while watering his plants and stocking up his fridge.

The ‘Executive Personal Assistant’ advertised for on job website ‘secsinthecity.co.uk’ promises a salary of between £50,000-£60,000 but asks an astonishing amount from a potential employee for Defoe Enterprise Ltd.

The advert states that the individual must be “very flexible, hands-on and be capable [of] multitasking” – but that’s just the start of it.

“…Scheduling and highly organising the manager’s and the family’s private, social and business calendars, arranging all public appearances, arranging and securing travel arrangements, working on selected business projects and maintaining daily itineraries,” the ad reads.

While the hours are listed, very unrealistically it seems, as 9.30am-5:30pm (working from “The Jermain Defoe Office”), the lucky successful candidate “must be on call 24/7”.

Ouch! Good luck, everyone…
