Paul Pogba may be struggling on the pitch, but off it he’s a shining example.

The Frenchman made a tremendous gesture on Thursday, donating thousands of pounds to help a young Manchester United fan with cerebral palsy become a club mascot.

Samuel, who struggles to walk unaided, will lead his favourite players onto the pitch next season.

“Paul Pogba put up a huge amount of money for Samuel to be mascot next season,” MUTV presenter Andy Goldstein revealed at the Manchester United Player of the Year Awards.

Samuel also caught the attention of former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli in February.

The Italian posted a video on Instagram of the youngster meeting Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David De Gea.

“You all know I’m not a United fan, but a city fan for life. But, this video goes more far than just football and is amazing. We have power and we need to use it for these reasons,” Balotelli wrote on Instagram.
