Bayern Munich’s stars donned Lederhosen for their annual beer drinking session to mark the build-up to Oktoberfest.

The booze-swilling event doubled up as a birthday bash for Thomas Muller, who turned 28 on Wednesday, which was celebrated with an emphatic sing-song:

Bayern were in good spirits after starting their Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win over Anderlecht, which was slightly marred when Franck Ribery threw his shirt down in a tantrum after being substituted in the 78th minute.

However, the Frenchman, who doesn’t drink due to his Islam faith, was pictured merrily getting involved, leading the vocals for Muller’s birthday song.

Munich will soon be taken over by Oktoberfest, with beer lovers from across the globe descending for the traditional Bavarian folk festival.
