Trouble was expected at the London derby between Tottenham and Millwall in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday, with a big police presence at White Hart Lane.

Signs were taken down from the Millwall end – signs which Arsenal fans ripped off their hoardings and discarded after a League Cup game in March 2015.

And incredibly, in a sign of just how seriously the authorities were taking threats of violence, stewards were also given hard hats to wear in the dividing line between the two sets of supporters.
