Justin Thomas catapulted himself into the limelight with a ridiculous nine-under 63 on the third day at the US Open – the best round in relation to par in the tournament’s 122-year history.

But it was his birdie on the fifth hole that got people most excited, with the 24-year-old sinking one of the most outrageous putts ever seen at a major.

With his feet pointing directly at the hole, and his putter turned 90 degrees from his intended target, he feathered a seemingly impossible shot from just off the green into the hole.
