Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian superstar Neymar has come in for criticism after refusing to shake the hand of Celtic youngster Anthony Ralston.

[REPORT: PSG’s devastating trident destroy Celtic]

PSG thumped Celtic 5-0 in Glasgow to open their Champions League campaign with a bang, with Neymar opening the scoring.

But one of the big talking points came after the game.

The world’s most expensive footballer opted not to progress with the usual post-match formalities with a player who was making his Champions League debut, avoiding Ralston while shaking the hands of the other Celtic players.

But the context is important, and Neymar was clearly riled by an incident in the second half where Ralston had attempted to antagonise him before laughing maniacally in his face.

Who knows what was said, and whether it deserved such a petulant post-game handshake snub.

But one thing we do know is that somewhere out there on Tuesday night, Mark Hughes was absolutely seething.
