There was a shocking incident in the Tour Cycliste Antenne Reunion on Sunday –a race held on the island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean.

TV cameras picked up the unbelievable moment when a spectator appeared to pull a fence across the road, causing six cyclists to crash, at least two heavily.

The incident occurred towards the end of stage one of the Tour Cycliste and caused the race to be neutralized.

A local reporter Antoine Forestier tweeted a statement from race organisers saying the person in question is the father of rider Jonathan Boyer who crashed earlier, upset that the race had not been stopped.

Mr Boyer Sr, a member of Sainte-Marie Velo Club, has been fined €300 by race organisers.
