Kieran Tierney might’ve had one of the best days of his life yesterday.

The Celtic defender was given the captain’s armband as the Glasgow side hosted Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup second round.

Brendan Rodgers has constantly shown his support for the 20 year old and this was acknowledged last night when Tierney made history – becoming the youngest ever captain in Celtic’s illustrious history.

The Scotsman marked the memorable occasion by firing in a thunderous strike from about 40 yards out:
