Former heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury is on the comeback trail!
The Gypsy King aims to get back in the ring in 2018 following a two-year absence from boxing.
Following his win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, Fury fought mental health issues, was stripped of his boxing licence and accepted a back-dated ban from UK Anti-Doping. He also put on a staggering amount of weight.
But the undefeated heavyweight has recently been granted permission to fight once again and he is now working hard on shedding what he described as “at least seven stone”.
As of yet Fury’s long-awaited return is without a date or an opponent – presumably because he still has a fair way to go to get back down to his optimal fighting weight – but has he taken a step towards securing a comeback?
He posted this message to a fellow former heavyweight champion on Twitter…
If Shannon ‘The Cannon’ Briggs accepts this fight, the news conferences are sure to be absolute gold!
LET’S GO, CHAMP!!
